Grimke was a faithful Presbyterian minister, trained under Charles Hodge, whose life spanned from pre-civil war slavery into the continued racial problems in the early 1900's where he helped to co-found the NAACP. This is an essential collection both for Reformed Theology as well as for African-American theology. It is exceedingly difficult to find copies of these volumes, I currently have volumes I, II, and III and would love to find a way to contribute to a potential project.
