I have mentioned this before when I wrote my dissertation on the Wesleyan Class Meetings and their effectiveness for the 21st century my advisor (A very well known Wesleyan scholar) told me NOT to cite the Jackson edition. So I used the Jackson Edition to find what I needed then found it in the Bicentennial Edition I had to buy, and cited it.
