An error occurred while saving the comment Robert Scarbro commentedAllen Ross develops a biblical theology of worship, inductively drawn from the biblical text, tracing themes and concepts from the garden of Eden to the new creation.
This is not just another book on a particular worship style, but a thorough biblical theology study.
A must read for pastors and other church leaders involved in worship.

An error occurred while saving the comment Robert Scarbro commentedRetroChristianity is a call to the evangelical church, stuck in its preference-driven approach to church and spirituality, to refine its understanding of ecclesiology.
Instead of the polarizing tendencies of radical primitivism or radical progressivism, Retro calls the evangelical church to firmly plant itself in a robust and mature understanding of ecclesiology that is scripturally sound and critically informed by the historic faith.
A must read for pastors, church leaders, and anyone interested in historical theology or ecclesiology.

An error occurred while saving the comment Robert Scarbro commentedThis is a fascinating collection of medieval writing for anyone interested in the development of Christian doctrine.
Gottschalk, a "rebellious" monk, stirred up controversy with his teaching on double predestination during the Carolingian renaissance of the 9th century.
Within these texts, one can note the theological tensions in the western church that would eventually lead to the reformation, though not for a few hundred more years.
The editing and translation work is excellent. I highly recommend it!
