1. Individual or series title. E.g. “The Fellowship of the Ring” for a single title, or “The Lord of the Rings” for the series title (one book or series per entry, please. If there are multiple books by various authors in one entry, we cannot properly track votes and the entry will be deleted)
2. The author(s)
3. The current publisher. E.g. “Baker” or “Hendrickson”.
4. The copyright/publication date
5. The ISBN (this is included on most Amazon.com book pages under “Product Details”)

    I believe this is only the 2nd complete New Testament translated into English from Greek by Catholics (the 1st being by F. A. Spencer, O.P.). The objective was to provide the laity with an easy-to-understand version taken from the Greek. The annotations are modest but useful.

    This is not a version of the New American Bible, but a new translation from the original tongues, overseen by Rev. Jude Winkler, OFM Conv., and approved for private use. Leaning toward the "formal" in translation philosophy, it nicely balances the priorities of accuracy and readability. The annotations are copious and expository, not obsessed with the theories of "higher criticism" like the NABRE too often is. A really nice Catholic Bible that deserves wide usage.
