  2. The Vision of Piers Plowman by William Langland

Piers Plowman is "one of the greatest examples of Middle English alliterative poetry, ... an allegorical work with a complex variety of religious themes. One of the major achievements of Piers Plowman is that it translates the language and conceptions of the cloister into symbols and images that could be understood by the layman." (Encyclopedia Britannica)

  3. Jesus and the Last Supper

    http://www.eerdmans.com/Products/4871/jesus-and-the-last-supper.aspx
    by Brant Pitre

Who did Jesus of Nazareth claim to be? What was his relationship to early Judaism? When and how did he expect the kingdom to come? What were his intentions? Though these key questions have been addressed in studies of the historical Jesus, Brant Pitre argues that they cannot be fully answered apart from a careful historical analysis of the Last Supper accounts. Yet these accounts, both by the Gospel writers and by Paul, are widely neglected by contemporary Jesus research.

In this book Pitre fills a notable gap in historical Jesus research as he offers a…

  7. Itala / Vetus Italica / Vetus Latina (Old Latin)

Could you please give us the option to buy the remains of the earliest Latin Bible, assembled upon patristic citations?

It could be the classic, public domain version:
SABATIER, D. Petri. "Bibliorum Sacrorum, Latinae Versiones Antiquae seu Vetus Italica." Remis: R. Florentain, 1743.

    Or perhaps the new edition:

    Thank you very much indeed!

"A lively and perceptive account of the lives, writings and enduring intellectual legacies of the great Orthodox theologians of the past 250 years. This book explores and explains the enduring influence of some of the world's greatest modern theologians. Starting with the influence of the Philokalia in nineteenth-century Russia, the book moves through the Slavophiles, Solov'ev, Florensky in Russia and then traces the story through the Christian intellectuals exiled from Stalin's Russia - Bulgakov, Berdyaev, Florovsky, Lossky, Lot-Borodine, Skobtsova - and a couple of theologians outside the Russian world: the Romanian Staniloae and the…

  11. The Holy Scriptures in the Original Languages

Logos is great when it comes to the New Testament, but for the Old Testament I have not come across many manuscripts. I especially lack 2nd Rabbinic Bible first published by Daniel Bomberg 1524/25. I did however find it as a book. I think this manuscript is of special importance because it underlie the King James Version.

  14. The Genesis Account: A theological, historical, and scientific commentary on Genesis 1–11

This classic commentary on Genesis 1-11 contains a thorough analysis of the text itself, and has a number of features that set it apart from many other Genesis commentaries: It defends the biblical creationist position: creation in six consecutive normal days, death resulting from Adam s fall, and a globe-covering Flood, and confusion of languages at Babel, and in the process it explains how the rest of the Bible interprets Genesis in the above straightforward manner. While skillfully documenting how interpreters throughout Church history have taught the above, and that long-age death-before-sin views were a reaction to 19th-century uniformitarian geology,…

  19. The Age of the Parthians(The Idea of Iran)

Title: The Age of the Parthians

The Authors: Edited by Vesta Sarkhosh Curtis and Sarah Stewart

    Publisher: I.B. Tauris

Publication: It first came out in 2007

While all of the book is excellent, the chapter on the Indo-Parthian kingdom is especially so. Early Christian tradition links the apostle Judas Thomas(or Judas the Twin) to this king and to northwestern India(i.e. modern-day Pakistan)
